Info: Now online – Programme of 8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers

24-25 March 2020, Maternushaus, Cologne, Germany

Meet the leading experts at one of the world’s premier and most prominent conferences on Carbon Capture & Utilisation (CCU).  Already 70 participants from 18 countries registered - 200 expected!

The programme for the 8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers is almost finalised, take a look at http://co2-chemistry.eu/programme

We are happy to welcome 35 speakers from 11 different countries. These experts from leading companies and research institutes have diverse backgrounds and will present their innovative technologies and strategies. These presentations will cover the whole supply and value chain for CCU as energy supply via renewable resources, capture and use of renewable carbon and hydrogen production, as well as the political framework and future innovations.

Carbon Capture & Utilisation (CCU) as a fast-moving, environmental- and industry-driven innovation area has attracted more and more stakeholders. Several start-ups and established companies already launched CO2-based products or efficient utilisation technologies and even more players show their interest in getting involved in this field.

Increasingly, they are planning and implementing more pilot, demonstration and commercial plants for Power-to-X, low carbon fuels and a CO2-based chemistry. This is also stimulated by the improved political framework for CCU: the new version of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), which will apply from 2020, opens the doors for all CO2-based fuels, including the use of industrial off gases for all types of advanced fuels. There are also political discussions how to include the CO2 utilisation in the Emission Trading System (ETS). The German government is looking at low carbon fuels for a transition phase to electric mobility, comprehensive programs for high-volume synthetic fuel production from surplus wind energy are discussed in the summer 2019. Great visions are becoming real business cases and innovations are starting to realise their potential!

More than 200 leading international experts in CO2 capture and utilisation and 20 exhibitors are expected to attend the conference.

Don’t miss the new expert highlight one day prior to the conference: the „1st European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels“. Combined tickets for both events are available here.
