INFO: Workshop on Carbon Capture Technologies & Session on Hydrogen Production & Carbon Capture: 7th Conference on CO2 as Feedstock

7th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers

20–21 March 2019, Maternushaus, Cologne, Germany

Topics: Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Fuels for Cars and Aviation, Chemicals and Polymers as well as Mineralisation

Almost 80 participants are already registered - more than 200 leading international experts in CO2 utilization and 20 exhibitors are expected to attend the “7th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers”, 20-21 March 2019, in Cologne, Germany. Main topics of the conference are the new political framework, renewable energy and hydrogen production, artificial photosynthesis, carbon capture technologies, CO2-based fuels, chemicals and polymers as well as mineralisation.

Session: Hydrogen Production and Carbon Capture

Hydrogen production and CO2 capture are the most essential features, besides renewable energy, for efficient and successful Carbon Capture Utilisation (CCU). Hydrogen is needed for exploiting CO2’s full potential as a feedstock for energy storage, fuel or gas production as well as chemical production.

Workshop on Carbon Capture Technologies

The capturing of CO2 is crucial for its use as a raw material. Direct Air Capture (DAC) as the ultimate goal for establishing a renewable carbon-based circular economy has been intensively discussed in the last years, but also CO2 capture from industrial point sources is a necessary transitional and a long-term approach especially for non-avoidable point sources as steel production plants.
The developments, advantages and drawbacks of the different CO2 capture technologies will be intensively discussed in a specially dedicated Carbon Capture Workshop with international experts in this field.

Extended deadline: Call for Innovations for the new „Innovation Award for the Best CO2 Utilisation 2019“!

You are welcome to present your latest products, technologies or developments. Hand in your application here as soon as possible. For the first time the “Innovation Award for the Best CO2 Utilisation 2019” will be granted at the conference to the young, innovative CCU industry for finding suitable applications and markets for CO2 based products and technologies. Deadline for submission: 4 February 2019. All information here.

Exhibition and sponsoring opportunities

The fee of a booth (6 m2) is only 500 € (excl. 19% VAT). We are providing you a table, table cloths, a pin board, a chair and a power connection. You are welcome to use your own booth system. Simply book your booth and provide Dominik Vogt with a printable logo and your company profile. Afterwards please register to the conference.

Many thanks to COVESTRO (DE) for supporting the conference as a Sponsor of the Innovation Award and many thanks to Phytonix (US) for sponsoring the conference as a Gold Sponsor. EnergieAgentur.NRW is supporting the conference as a Premium Partner. All sponsoring opportunities are online here.

Patronage

„Carbon dioxide as feedstock for fuels, chemistry and polymers is a dynamic field for industry-driven innovation and opens up new avenues for sustainable growth in Europe. I am very happy about the upcoming conference and the opportunity for exchange of views and expertise with international experts.“ Professor Dr. Andreas Pinkwart, Minister for the Economy, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
