Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) is one of the most important options to broaden the renewable feedstock base for the future. It is one essential pillar for the supply of renewable carbon besides biomass and recycling. More than 100 projects on CO2-based fuel and chemical production, as well as efficient capture and utilisation technologies have been launched by several start-ups and established companies in the last years and even more players show their interest in getting involved in CCU. At the Conference on CO2 as Feedstock for Fuels and Chemicals in Cologne on 23 to 24 March several research institutes and companies showcast their latest developments in carbon capture and utilisation.

In our conference session on “Sustainability and Economics” at the first day we give insights into the feasibility and opportunities from an economic and ecological sustainability and standardization angle. Meet speakers from Concawe, Aramco Overseas, nova-Institut, Dechema and DIN and learn on the importance and greenhouse gas emissions reduction potentials of CCU for the future of the Chemical Industry, the techno-economic feasibility aspects for E-Fuel production and the role of standards for the implementation of CCU technologies for industrial application. Be curious and take a look at the abstracts to get an idea of the exciting content these presentations!

More than 200 leading international experts in Carbon Capture and Carbon Utilisation (Power-to-X) together with 20 exhibitors are expected to attend the hybrid event on 23–24 March 2022 (hybrid event, Cologne, Germany). Take a look into the near future and exchange ideas with the leading pioneers at one of the premier and most prominent events on CO2 as renewable carbon feedstock for fuels and chemicals in the world: The “Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals 2022”, 23–24 March 2022, Cologne, Germany. As a hybrid conference it combines a “live” in-person event with a “virtual” online component.
