With the current situation in Ukraine new discussion started to get rid of fossil energy for heating, electricity and also and especially for industrial production and to get more independant from foreign gas and oil. Renewable energy, now called 'freedom energies‘ by the German minister of finance Christian Lindner (FDP), green hydrogen production and also carbon capture & utlisation (CCU) are seen more and more as key enabling technologies for a sustainable and independant future of the chemical industry and fuel production. These technologies are strongly tied together and the fitting links between them are crucial to establish a CCU technology landscape for the future. So, where are the global potentials for PtX technologies to make this happen? Where can we produce the needed green hydrogen and what kind of technologies are available to take this and combine it with the captured CO2 to produce those molecules needed in the chemical industry and for fuel production? How can we capture CO2 from industrial point sources and from the atmosphere and what technologies are needed to convert it to base chemicals and fuels?

At our two-day hybrid Conference on CO2 –based Fuels and Chemicals you will find answers to these question and will meet people who are active in this field to network with. You will get insights in technologies for green hydrogen production and carbon capture and on those technologies to convert them into the needed molecules.
