The CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference has successfully established itself as an international and unique meeting and networking ground for the entire Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) and Power-to-X industry and its customers. The upcoming 14th edition of the conference will take place on 28–29 April 2026, Cologne, Germany as a hybrid event. Organiser nova-Institute expects 230 leading international experts in the field of CCU, renewable hydrogen production and Power-to-X. Once more the event will showcase the latest innovations and most important developments in the fast-growing field of Carbon Capture and Utilisation with plenty of opportunities to network.

The “Best CO2 Utilisation 2026” innovation award is a prestigious recognition shining a spotlight on groundbreaking technologies and products that effectively utilise CO2.  

Innovation in CCU is key to transforming CO2 into a valuable resource for the chemicals and materials sector, supporting a circular carbon economy. By converting CO2 into renewable carbon products, these technologies reduce dependence on fossil resources and create new business opportunities.

PhD Day “Biotech for C1 utilisation”

The PhD Day will be a parallel session (taking place on the afternoon of 28 April and the morning of 29 April) during the conference dedicated completely to bringing PhD students using biotechnology for C1 utilisation together. The PhD students will be able to learn about the research done by other PhD students across Europe, network, and hopefully kick-off future collaboration and cooperation between them. Additionally, they will be able to attend the conference programme around the PhD Day to learn even more about trends and developments in C1 utilisation.

Companies that would like to book an exhibition booth (6m2) can do so for the price of 3,000 EUR (excl. 19% VAT). Included in the booth fee is one conference ticket.
