PhD Day “Biotech for C1 utilisation”

Cluster industrielle Biotechnologie (CLIB) will be organising the PhD Day “Biotech for C1 utilisation” as part of the CO₂-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026 on 28 and 29 April 2026 in Cologne.

The PhD Day will be a parallel session (taking place on the afternoon of 28 April and the morning of 29 April) during the conference dedicated completely to bringing PhD students using biotechnology for C1 utilisation together. The PhD students will be able to learn about the research done by other PhD students across Europe, network, and hopefully kick-off future collaboration and cooperation between them. Additionally, they will be able to attend the conference program around the PhD Day to learn even more about trends and developments in C1 utilisation.

To foster networking, we will try to offer active roles to as many PhD students as possible. During the session short (10 min) presentations will showcase research, challenges, and collaboration ideas. Additionally, up to 15 PhD students can present a poster in the scope of the poster sessions of the conference, thus the posters will not only be available for the other PhD students, but to everyone visiting the conference.

nova-Institute and CLIB agreed on a discounted price for the conference of 660 € (excl. VAT) for the PhD students attending the PhD Day.
